Hartford, Connecticut.- Mayor Pedro E. Segarra announced that the citywide parking ban will be lifted at 6:00pm, Monday, February 9, 2015. Residents are required to remove their vehicles from school parking lots no later than 8:00pm, Monday, February 9, 2015. Hartford Public Schools and City offices are expected to open at their regularly scheduled times tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10, 2015. “I want to thank residents for moving their cars off the streets. Compliance with the parking ban was very strong and this allowed DPW to plow effectively," said Mayor Segarra. "The snow storm is tapering off and we want to get back to normal as quickly as possible. Once the parking ban ends, it is important for residents to move their vehicles promptly from school lots so classes can resume tomorrow morning. I need to thank DPW crews for their tireless efforts in dealing with back-to-back storms over the past few weeks.” Residents are required to remove their vehicles from the lots promptly following the end of the parking ban. Residents whose vehicles are towed during the parking ban should contact the Hartford Police Department at (860) 757-4000. The cost for retrieving a towed vehicle is $93.59. An additional $99.00 ticket will be issued which owners are responsible for paying before the answer date.
